One of the most important things you might want to carry with you while studying abroad is a camera. Students want to remember the unique and amazing sights of the countries they are visiting. CNN SLIDESHOW As you check out these pictures, remember that MU Journalism Abroad has programs near where several of these pictures were taken! One of the best perks of studying abroad is being able to see amazing sights throughout the world. Every semester, the J-schoolers that we send across the globe to live and study capture some of these sights and experiences in pictures. Each Friday, we’ll be sharing with you a picture that caught our eyes, attention and interest. Enjoy this week’s Photo of the Week!
In April, MU Journalism Abroad held a photo contest asking students who have previously or are currently studying abroad to submit pictures of students working in their internships abroad. Congratulations to Melissa Klauda who submitted the following winning photo and was awarded a $100 scholarship by MU Journalism Abroad for the winning submission! MU Journalism Abroad would also like to congratulate Elisa Day, Kylie Tutko, Anna Smylie, and Caitlin Alexander whose photos (below) were selected as finalists in the photo contest. Thank you to all students who submitted photos for the contest!
The International Programs Office is holding a contest to seek out photos portraying students working in their internships abroad. The photos must contain images of Mizzou students working and the best photos will emphasize that the work is being done in an international setting. Photos may be staged as long as they represent actual work done.
The top five photos will be showcased on MU Journalism Abroad’s blog, Facebook and Twitter. The student with the winning photo will be awarded a $100 scholarship! All photo submissions may be used in promotional materials by the MU School of Journalism and the International Programs Office. Please submit your photos to gmj@missouri.edu by Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Include “Photo Contest” in the subject line of email submissions. |
